Reduced Head Knurled Body Blind Hole are engineered to DIN specifications for permanent threaded insert installation in thin sheet metal and tubular sections. The reduced head design provides a low-profile bearing surface that distributes clamp load evenly across the parent material. The knurled body geometry provides enhanced grip retention through micro-mechanical interference with the parent material hole wall. The knurled surface creates multiple contact points that resist rotation and pull-out forces, delivering approximately 30% higher torque resistance compared to plain round body alternatives. The blind hole design permits installation in pre-formed pockets where backside access is unavailable, enabling threaded insert placement in cast, molded, or closed-section components.

Available in sizes M3-0.5 through M16-2.0, covering the most common range for industrial assembly applications. Custom sizes outside standard ranges can be produced for OEM customers with sufficient volume requirements. Standard materials include carbon steel Grades 4.8, 8.8, and 10.9, with stainless steel A2 (304) and A4 (316) available for corrosive environments. Brass and special alloys are available for specific applications. Surface treatments include Z.P.L B.Z.P Ni.P Decromet Ruspert. Zinc plating (Z.P.L) provides 48-96 hours salt spray protection for general indoor use. Black zinc phosphate (B.Z.P) offers matte appearance with mild corrosion resistance. Nickel plating (Ni.P) provides superior wear and chemical resistance. Decromet coating delivers automotive-grade protection exceeding 500 hours per ASTM B117. Ruspert ceramic coating provides extended outdoor and marine exposure protection up to 1000 hours. Hot-dip galvanizing provides heavy-duty atmospheric protection for outdoor structural applications.

These fasteners are designed to meet or exceed applicable international standards for dimensional accuracy and mechanical performance.
