Product Description

Countersunk Half-Hex Body are engineered to DIN specifications for permanent threaded insert installation in thin sheet metal and tubular sections. The countersunk head design provides a low-profile bearing surface that distributes clamp load evenly across the parent material. The half-hex body geometry prevents rotation under tightening torque, delivering superior anti-loosening performance even in high-vibration environments. This anti-rotation feature eliminates the need for adhesives or mechanical locking devices, reducing assembly complexity and improving long-term joint reliability.

Available in sizes M3-0.5 through M16-2.0, covering the most common range for industrial assembly applications. Custom sizes outside standard ranges can be produced for OEM customers with sufficient volume requirements. Standard materials include carbon steel Grades 4.8, 8.8, and 10.9, with stainless steel A2 (304) and A4 (316) available for corrosive environments. Brass and special alloys are available for specific applications. Surface treatments include Z.P.L B.Z.P Ni.P Decromet Ruspert. Zinc plating (Z.P.L) provides 48-96 hours salt spray protection for general indoor use. Black zinc phosphate (B.Z.P) offers matte appearance with mild corrosion resistance. Nickel plating (Ni.P) provides superior wear and chemical resistance. Decromet coating delivers automotive-grade protection exceeding 500 hours per ASTM B117. Ruspert ceramic coating provides extended outdoor and marine exposure protection up to 1000 hours. Hot-dip galvanizing provides heavy-duty atmospheric protection for outdoor structural applications.

Typical applications span automotive body panels and interior trim, electrical enclosures and control boxes, HVAC ducting and equipment, sheet metal cabinets and housings, fitness equipment, light industrial assemblies, and consumer electronics. These fasteners are designed to meet or exceed applicable international standards for dimensional accuracy and mechanical performance. Custom sizes, special materials, and non-standard finishes are available for OEM customers with volume requirements. Installation is performed from one side using a standard rivet nut tool, eliminating the need for back-side access and enabling rapid assembly in production environments.
